Interview outfit

Much to my delight I got an interview invitation after many rejections. I last worked in the corporate world in 2008 and have since been a SAHM and later on self employed until now.

I have no idea what is now expected of us candidates? The role is that of assistant at my local council. So not particularly high flying
What would be an appropriate outfit?

A pair of black tailored trousers and a neutral coloured blouse or shirt, you can't go wrong with that

Slim Or cigarette Black trousers, loafers and a plain or pattered top, blazer you feel like one.

Nice bag/ nails/blow dry coat also helps with confidence boost.

I’d probably wear a dress, something with sleeves. Wrap style, with tights and shoes.

But the pants and blouse option sounds nice too.
