Dressing gown which doesn’t malt/fluff

Hello all,

Im looking for a decent dressing gown which doesn’t go fluffy on my PJs or clothes. I always bought M&S ones but the most recent one sheds on everything and it’s a nightmare in the wash. It’s the same sort I’ve always bought but they must’ve switched the quality of material.

I noticed the same thing with my new Hot Water bottle cover. They seem to be producing very fluffy items everywhere but not considering how much they shed!

Ive usually had fluffy bed time stuff so maybe it’s a change in quality/material?

any ideas for a dressing gown which doesn’t shed? Or even a material which won’t?

it’s very mixed reviews online of what material is best!

M & s towelling dressing gowns don’t fluff or shed, they last years.

I have a very old towelling one from long Tall Sally which is 100% cotton and doesn’t shed at all. I love it dearly and am hoping it will actually see me out as I have never found it’s equivalent.

I get my dressing gowns from long tall sally - if you’re tall enough. Never had an issue with shedding. For the floor length ones you’d need to be around 5’7” plus. The only thing I can say about them is they’re a lot thinner than in the past. The price hasn’t changed, which is why.
