Hiya - does anyone have any experience of dying jeans? I've used Dylon in the past to dye my faded jeans black and it worked really well now I'd like to die my light blue jeans a dark indigo colour. Dylon do a blue jean colour - anyone have any experience of using this or other blue jeans dye? TIA

It doesn't really come out the same. It's a more solid colour.

The dylon jeans comes out a flat navyish blue. Didnt like it!

Same - it didn't look like denim any more.

Also the stitching is dyed the same colour so no longer have that contrast orange or golden yellow. Same happened when I dyed a faded black pair of jeans. They were, however, a really rich black that I liked.

I've just bought this. Shame to see poor reviews here. I might try dying an old pair first and see how they turn out.

i have done this and would not do it again. Very block colour and also the texture of the fabric changed. And very messy!

Haha - a resounding "no" then! I suspected they might end up looking like navy trousers. Thanks all that's very helpful - I won't bother trying!
