What to wear?! I'm a size 12-14, petit. I think a jumpsuit might not be very flattering. Any ideas? Budget is not large. I suit colours like red, green, brown, gold, teal.

Sparkly anything! It's completely black inside the venue, but really cool
LED lights

JaneIves · 16/01/2024 21:48

Wear whatever you like! Sparkles and sequins are good but plenty of people are in jeans/casual wear. Some go all out in ABBA costumes.
It's the best atmosphere, one of the best 'gigs' I ever been to, I've been twice and planning a third visit. It's just the best party!

SkaneTos · 16/01/2024 21:50

I envy you!

A jumpsuit would be cool, but only if you are comfortable in it (I don't think I would be).

I suggest sequins, glitter, and gold! (Like the album "ABBA Gold").

I went in jeans and walking boots. Twice. Had a blast:)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/01/2024 22:17

How many of you are going. There were a few groups in those white/blue poncho tops and sequin headbands who looked cool
And lots in sequinned evening dresses

It does get busy so be comfy 😁

I’ve been twice with adult DD. I wore sequinned top skinny jeans and flat boots, DD wore jeans and an ABBA t shirt

MooMinCow · 17/01/2024 07:18

I went recently with DD and wore a denim jumpsuit and gold accessories. Some people dressed up, some didn’t so wear whatever you like!

The foyer outside the auditorium doesn’t have doors - it was bloody freezing! So if you feel the cold dress accordingly (there’s a cloakroom where you can leave coats/bags etc). Have fun!

AreolaGrande · 17/01/2024 07:34

I went in November and wore this 🙂.

Absolutely anything goes. Loads of people were dressed up. Lots in jeans and a top.

Have a great time!

I've been twice - it's great! You don't have to dress up if you don't want to - the majority are in ordinary clothes.

Some party groups are in ABBA-type outfits with ponchos, flares etc and some wear a bit of sparkle or ABBA t-shirts.

We’re finally planning to go to this! Can anyone who has been recommend what’s best regarding seating/standing option? DH wants to stand, but he goes to loads of gigs and is used to it, meanwhile I’m not so keen as I get uncomfortable/bad back standing for ages and I’m also 6 inches shorter than him!

Notevenslightlydamp · 17/01/2024 07:51

If you like abba and enjoy a dance, definitely stand. You could almost feel the seated audience itching to get up and dance during some songs. It's v short - 90 mins? So not too long to stand maybe.

There’s a thread on Chat I think Everything YouNeed To Know About Going To ABBA Voyage. Lots of good information on there 😀

You might struggle to see the stage. I'd go for seating if I were you

JaneIves · 18/01/2024 10:08

I've been twice, first time dancefloor, second time seated.... I wholly preferred the dancefloor!
I'm only 5ft 2" but it was absolutely fine. There are huge screens and the stage is huge too.
Seated was awkward, only at the end did people get up and dance, I felt like I was wiggling in my seat desperate to dance! Seated was a matinee show, so I don't know if that made a difference.

CointreauVersial · 18/01/2024 13:31

I wore sequinned trousers. My stepmum took a feather boa. But as others have said there was a complete mixture, and you wouldn't feel out of place whatever you chose to wear.

Dancefloor all the way!! 💃

PollyIndia · 18/01/2024 15:18

It's so fun, such a cool little venue with all the immersive lights. Defo standing, and of course you can wear what you want. But I wore a sequin skirt and leopard print platforms and we danced like loons. It was 3 months after mum died and I don;'t think I'd felt joy for a while, it was exactly what I needed.

Pusspot · 18/01/2024 16:04

I wore a sparkly top and jeans (standing). It gets really warm so leave your coat in the cloakroom. They're free, and the queue to collect them moved quickly.

Best friend and I going next Sunday to Abba . Dropped off at Britannia hotel Canary warf at 11am. ( Abba at 6pm) Then on Monday we’ll have a few hours to kill before coach home. Not knowing the area or London AT ALL does anyone have any tips for what we can do in free time. Is a river trip out of the question. ?? Many thanks.

Kitkat1523 · 20/07/2024 22:22
