Backpack

I am needing a new backpack for work. It needs to be able to carry flasks as I work outside all day all weathers so take my lunch coffee/soup etc. as I'm outside all day it's also on me constantly so needs to be comfy and not back breaking. A few pockets for a phone /mini iPad, note books pens etc would also be ideal.
Not the usual glamour post but I need ideas of any one who is similar. I back pack a lot and have back packs etc but I need a smaller version.

Assuming you don't need something smart looking and apart from the Roka backpacks currently trending on MN (which also fit your needs), these might be options for you:

Doughnut backpacks fully open and have lots of pockets/compartments

I’m liking my new workbag
https://www.kindbag.co/collections/all/products/burnt-orange-medium-recycled-backpack?variant=40691802013848

fits my 13” laptop and the bits I need, I cycle to work, but much smaller than most of the recommendations I found on threads like these.

discount codes readily available via google searches and the price point for me was pretty good.

I love the colour so if it doesn't work for work I'd still love it.

I bought this and love it. It comes in other colours if you don't like yellow/mustard. It has a laptop sleeve, pockets on hte outside and best of all its waterproof, so good in the rain.

This is a very similar to backpack I had for a cricket tour, it's like a tardis inside. As it's really designed for rugby it's hard wearing.

I have had several Mia Tui sydney backpacks - they last forever (DC now using one as a school bag), have two decent size bottle holders on outside and one in the inside and plenty of pockets.

Also lots of different colours https://miatui.com/products/sydney

I like Deuter speed lite rucksacks - they come in different sizes.

I think you need to step away from urban completely here, ans go for properly outdoorsy-y to get something practical enough to wear all day etc.
