Which perfume size do you prefer?

I would like to treat myself to a bottle of Chanel Chance.

Not sure about which size to buy - normally I always go for the larger bottles but prices have become extortionate!

The smaller bottles give you less product for the money though.

Just curious, which perfume size do you normally go for?

Usually 100ml as that gives me the most value. I’m down to the dregs of my allure and not sure if I can justify a replacement

JanewaysBun · 15/01/2024 20:40

I had chanel chance in the discontinued scent l'eau tendre. I had 90ml and it lost it's smell when i was halfway through, no scent at all! So based on that i would go low....

If you are part of the John Lewis beauty cycle scheme you can get £5 off when you take five full size empties ( details on the website). If you wait for offers on perfume then you can use the sec gene and any discount offer to buy the bigger size.

RedRosesPinkLilies · 16/01/2024 07:41

I actually tend to buy smaller bottles - on basis that they last a while anyway. The bigger bottles are extortionate. They might be better value for money, but I quite like changing my perfume to try different ones

Filamumof9 · 16/01/2024 13:00

I always go for the biggest size I at that moment can buy within my budget. I always check discountsites as it makes quite a difference in price.but I am pretty steady when it comes to the perfumes that I like.

OohBurnDavid · 16/01/2024 13:02

I get the metal twist one which comes with two refills. It was on offer at John Lewis before Christmas for £80ish

Petrine · 17/01/2024 15:40

I buy the largest available, although not if it’s massive. The largest I have at the moment is 125ml

IDontHateRainbows · 17/01/2024 19:27

I'm a 10ml girl as I like trying different scents and get bored easily

Indeed the only fragrances to make it to a larger size bottle are very special and I have only 2 to have made it this far.

Where do you get the 10ml from as I’d love to try something new .thanks

JaceLancs · 18/01/2024 22:04

100ml if possible - I do the fragrance shop discount scheme and wait for special offers - recently bought sauvage for DP, Jean Paul gaultier la belle and jadore Dior for myself and Lancôme la vie on belle for DD at 10% off plus an extra 20% off that again made a big difference and meant I was buying 100ml for 50ml prices

WagWoofWalkMeeoow · 18/01/2024 22:09

I like the 30ml in the perfume I use, the 75ml just looks too big. 30ml is a bit more per ml, but I'm happy to have something that's aesthetically pleasing & more comfortable to hold.

Lottapianos · 18/01/2024 22:16

Never more than 30ml - I get bored of a scent if I use it for a while and barely make it through a 30ml size. Next and M&S do 10ml size of their own (very lovely) perfumes, I wish more brands did this size

SgtJuneAckland · 18/01/2024 22:20

Of my stalwarts 100ml j'adore Dior infinissime, Lancome idole and Glossier you. Anything else 30 ml because I'm buying it to mix up my scents and not just wear my three favourites. Have you tried MyOrigines it's like an online french pharmacy their perfumes are usually the best price you'll find.

Giraff3 · 18/01/2024 22:28

i do this. For £12 a month the perfume shop lets you choose a new 10ml fragrance and its delivered to your home

IDontHateRainbows · 19/01/2024 00:19

Floral street do 10ml
So do maison margiela in the sets

caringcarer · 19/01/2024 01:24

100ml as better value for money.

VenusClapTrap · 19/01/2024 07:54

100ml usually, although I just bought some 30ml as they were on offer.

SoapCollector · 25/01/2024 23:50

@Lottapianos I agree, I get bored quickly too! So small sizes for me. Are there any small size M&S or Next perfumes that you would recommend? 10ml sizes sounds great!☺

Lottapianos · 26/01/2024 09:02

@SoapCollector , my favourite from Next is Cashmere. It's such a beautiful perfume and lasts really well through the day, dries down to a lovely powdery scent

Haven't bought any from M&S for ages so I'm not sure what's good in there at the moment

SoapCollector · 26/01/2024 09:08

@Lottapianos thank you, I'll check out the Next cashmere next time I'm in there.

SoapCollector · 26/01/2024 15:48

@TheDoneInn and @IDontHateRainbows just in case you are slso interested in my small sized perfume finds above 😀

SoapCollector · 26/01/2024 15:49

Lottapianos · 26/01/2024 16:32

@SoapCollector , lovely idea and a great price! Thanks for sharing 😌
