Smart trousers with a belt?

I wear trouser suits at work as I'm in a very formal environment. I just bought some new suits (black and navy) and the trousers have belt loops. Does anyone wear a belt with these types of trousers? It's not like they'll fall off if I don't, I've got hips!

I'd say no. Potentially a thin, discreet one in the same colour as the suit. Overall minimalism is in. Belts also let everyone know exactly how long or short waisted you are as they visually cut you into halves.
