Should I chop it all off???

Hi everyone!
I never post but here we go
I have a birthday coming up and a haircut booked for Tuesday. I am thinking of going to and asking my hairdresser to chop off my hair into a Bob somewhat like the pic attached.
I have straight hair and with a fringe and currently lots of layers, at its longest it reaches to underboob length.
Now I have had short hair before, I have had a pixie cut before and a Bob but the last time I had a Bob it verged on Lord Farquad because it was all one length 😅
I'm going back and forth if I should do it or not!! My hair grows fast but I'm getting married in August and I want it in an updo!! I'm unsure if it'll grow back in time but think I may be being a scardy cat 😆
Opinions?

Should I chop it all off???

If you really want to chop it... go for it, but just remid yourself that it won't be long enough to put up for a long time.
I took mine from nearly waist length to shoulders a year ago...and it was fine, I could still tie it up. Then had a mad moment and went for a pixie... only came out looking like my Dad Shock
5 months in and it's nearly an ultra short bob and looks beyond hideous and there is nothing I can do but wait, and have tiny trims.
NEVER again!!!

Hi @Haircutadvice Have read your updates and it's clear you're not really happy with your current style! I get that desire to tidy up 'rat-tail-y' layers.

This cut is fab and satisfies most (?) of your criteria. l also think it's long enough to give you options on your wedding day.

that first one looks like you let a four year old loose with scissors 😯 even the model looks a bit “Well this isn’t what I signed up for here”

Get it cut! You want to be feeling happy and confident on your wedding day and don’t have to conform to an up do! I recently had my hair chopped off and it has given me a major boost in confidence and an improved zest for life. Especially if you are not keen on an up do anyway.

I also love what @LauderSyme has posted as maybe a compromise?

Another vote for Lauder's pic - that's perfect, fabulous cut.

Thank you @LauderSyme I think this does fit my criteria Best and think I'll show this pic!
