Hotter Boots age 30?! alternatives?

Hello! Want to check I’ve not gone mad. Thoughts on these boots for a 30 year old normally moderately ok styled woman?! I associate Hotter with older people normally but these seem great value and regular style. What do you think?

I want something versatile for styling, comfy, waterproof and durable - in black - my last boots lasted me 3 years with some rehealing but I’d rather not spend £100+ on another pair if possible. Ideally I’d prefer laces. But I love a bargain!

Any alternative suggestions / sale bargain finds? Thank you!

Like you OP I resisted hotter for ages because I thought they were for old ladies! They certainly do have some styles designed for old ladies with extra wide feet BUT they also have some nice boots and trainers (like the ones you have linked to) which look good and I don’t think anyone would guess (or care) where you got them from.

i have 3 pairs of Hotter boots and a pair of trainers. I’m a size 9 so it’s refreshing to find footwear that’s genuinely in my size!

And I started buying in my mid 30s!

The ones on your link just look like normal boots , not age specific at all. I like them .
It's best to wear rather sensible footwear that protects your feat - future you will be thankful for it.

I had a colleague who sweared by Hotter shoes for work.

They’re okay, and a good price.

I couldn’t see anything to say that they’re waterproof, though, but you could try spraying them.

I’ve been wearing Hotter boots for a long time. Never occurred to me to consider them for old people, but then I’ve never been too worried about the thoughts of others. If you like them why on earth are you seeking validation from the internet? 😂

Josef Siebel also good, or for more £, Gabor.

Have you tried pavers?

Cuppachuchu · 14/01/2024 20:57

I like those, and would wear them. I have a pair of leather sandals and a pair of casual converse-a likes from Hotter, both extremely comfortable. Have normal feet, don't care at all if people know what brand they are 😁

Hush Puppies have some nice boots too. I'm sure they were once considered an old person brand.

Amazing value! I wore Hotter a lot in my early 30s. In fact, I thought I still had a pair of heels but I can't find them. They were really comfortable.
