Curl creme

My hair is wavy/loose curl, I think a 2B. Could anyone recommend a curl creme, please. Nothing too heavy, just something to enhance, defrizz and hold my waves.

I always go back to the Umberto Gianini range at Boots for curls. Trust me I’ve tried lots.

Good hold without being too heavy for 2-3 curls.

Boots own, or lee stafford

some shops offer small samples, i like diva curl products or moroccan oil curl cream NOT styling cream.

Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie is amazing :)

Lindseycurlwhisperer · 16/01/2024 15:16

Hi it depends how thick or fine your curls are and what you want the curl cream to do ?

MinnySkinge · 16/01/2024 15:31

Not a creme, but Lush Super Milk is lovely on my curly hair. Be careful though, even a little too much and your hair will feel super greasy.

AceofPentacles · 16/01/2024 15:42

Budget - Vo5 curl crème
£££ - Curlsmith featherlight protein crème

cheapskatemum · 16/01/2024 16:02

Agree with @MinnySkinge that Lush Super Milk is great and it smells divine - I always get comments about it. I also like Lush Revive, which is a cream (used to be called R&B). It works best on my hair when it's just slightly drier than damp, after washing.

If you have fine hair then I recommend Wella shockwaves curls and waves mousse

cantu brand smells lovely - I often get asked what perfume I'm wearing.

Often on some kind of multi buy offer in boots

What's 2B

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 17/01/2024 00:03

@Thisthreadonly it’s a numerical system of defining how curly your hair is, eg here https://www.allure.com/gallery/curl-hair-type-guide

1s are basically straight, and european curly hair usually falls within 2a, 2b, 2c or 3a judging from the pics on that site, with afro-hair covering the same spectrum but also often going on to 3b, 3c, 4a, 4b or 4c.

it’s just a shorthand way of describing what sort of curls you are having problems with have.

I have 2B & 2A hair, I have cremes and jelly but prefer a mousse. A natural hold rather than a firm hold stops the crispy hair, brush with a wide tooth comb and use a diffuser to dry.
