I just found Cristalle on the American /US Chanel site. The eau de toilette not the perfume.
It's $140 American dollars.
I bought 2 just in case.
Hurry over there.

€136 on the Chanel EU site. So more or less the same.
Why are you stocking up? Now it's been relaunched, and coming into spring/summer, there'll be lots more of it in the usual retailers. It never stopped being available in airports etc.

I didn't know that. Thank you.

Any chance of their amethyst brilliant soleil lipstick coming back?

I know, I know, I'm showing my age.

I got some for Christmas from MIL and she bought it in Boots. Can’t wait for spring-y weather to start wearing it!

CharmianGardiner · 13/01/2024 15:05

You have an astute MIL. Boots, eh? I was so excited and now I see it’s everywhere. Oh well, at least Chanel gives great samples and the bags are useful.

I didn't see it at Gatwick, Bristol or Heathrow or any airport I went to abroad (Rhodes, Corfu, Barbados, Naples, Schipol) for all the time it was out of stock on line.

As an aside, I envy your travel itinerary. I don't think I thought to look in airports. I'd hear rumors it was discontinued, and I'd only ever see the new scent on the Chanel website so I moved on to Elizabeth Arden White Tea.
I find myself longing for the scents I wore in the 1980s and 1990s. I don't even remember all their names. Nostalgia for a simpler time I guess. I mean, I don't long to wear Giorgio, and my roommate's Poison still haunts me, but there was a fruity one in an oval clear bottle with ridges that I loved, and I wish I could remember the name.
My most embarrassing admission is that I like Juicy Rose'.It's hard to say Juicy with a straight face when someone asks what you're wearing. I feel like I'm wearing a pink velvet track suit with the word emblazoned on my behind immediately.
Chanel at least doesn't have implications.

In a lot of them you have to ask for the older, less popular classics. I got my bottle at Stansted, but it wasn't on the display. And that's quite a big Chanel concession compared to a lot of airports tbh.
Likewise the original Miss Dior. I had to ask for that as well, and the sales assistant had to go round the back for a rummage (after trying to foist all the modern iterations of it onto me!)

BlindurErBóklausMaður · 13/01/2024 17:37

@CharmianGardiner the same rumour kept doing the rounds about Chanel 19 (and I know (iirc from my perfumista days) that @Judystilldreamsofhorses would have had something to say about that, as would I) even respected beauty bloggers kept bemoaning its demise. They may tweak the ingredients and notes due to ingredients regulations, but they'll not be getting shut of their classics anytime soon.
