Simply that, what are the current trends?
I know we don't need them but there are certainly A LOT of women out there in the 50's looking like they have just turned 40 - & I am not one of them 🙄

I’ve just finished a course of Matrix Pro RF - I can see a difference in my neck and jaw.
I’ve just finished have Jalupro for the first thing (3 sessions) - face and neck - I think it’s better than profhilo. I was a big profhilo fan and I think Jalupro is better!

I have regular Botox and occasionally a wow facial with Botox in if my time frames allows…

im planning on having some bbl heroic in the next month of so…

has anyone have moxi and bbl together? Any recommendations of London Clinics ?

Botox and polnuecleutide.

NewDogOwner · 25/10/2025 15:21

The new Botox (can't remember the name) but it is supposed to last twice as long.

I keep reading about Polynucleotide injections to treat dark circles but at £500 I’d want a guarantee that it would work

its impossible to guarantee that it will work. Speaking from experience a lot of money spent on tweakments is money down the drain, yet still we look for that anti ageing treatment that works. Usually several sessions are needed , the effects are barely discernible and don’t last long, many involve unpleasant downtime. Wouldn’t touch thread lifts with a barge pole, from what I’ve read about them, definitely won’t have polynucleotides again, after downtime with awful blebs, and no result. Don’t want Botox, collapsed eyebrows look odd. I have a tiny bit of filler in marionette lines once a year. I had treatment for thread veins once which was effective . My plan is to have a blepharoplasty at some point and maybe a minimal face and neck lift, when I can’t bear to look at myself, which may be sooner than later. So, no more money will I spend on ineffective treatments for desperate women!

I had a good result with polynucleotides round the eyes and no downtime. I think it’s practitioner dependent though. The effects don’t last that long and are just very subtle. I will say at 49 my under eye area is the bit I’m most happy with!

Interested in Jalpuro @Nkmama15 how does it differ from profhilo?

And it you don’t mind me asking how much was the Matrix Pro RF? I’m
nervous to keep chucking a load of money (and pain!!!) at my face when I should probably just save for a facelift!

Delatron · 25/10/2025 17:25

I do agree with you @Allseeingallknowing these treatments cost a fortune, they hurt, they don’t last long and and I still look my age. At a push I’d say my skin is good - but the could just be the tretinoin and suncream.

I fear an upper bleph and a facelift in my 50s may be money better spent.

Feel like I’m filling holes in a sinking ship and more and more appear!

I think you get the same glow as profhilo but you also get longer term benefits as a biostim. I think my neck has improved also.

I had Matrix as part of a clinical trial so was free!!!! But I think they said would retail at about 2k . It was painful during treatment but immediately after it was fine.

Thank you! Will check it out. I do love profhilo but I’ve had quite a lot this year so would like something longer lasting.

I don’t think I can stomach £2k plus pain for the RF! Great that you got it free.

The trouble with filler is that when you decide to stop, your face sags and you gain 20 years over night

This couldn't be further from the truth. 'Over night?' Are you aware filler doesn't miraculously disappear overnight, it's a gradual process as the body breaks it down.

I hate the misinformation and vitriol on MN about Botox on filler. So much misinformation.

It's called Relfydess. Can last between 6-9 months but stings like crazy going in.

I spend £750 per year on my tweakments, I look my age (I think nearly everyone does) but a slightly less knackered version. I
used to get a facial every month but I haven’t for a few years now and I use that money for tweakments. I stick to Nivea everything on my face as I’m allergic to so many other creams. I spend about £30 per year on my face wash, night cream, day cream etc.

Also I found with profhilo you start to look puffy , Jalupro you don’t and also it’s doesn’t hurt as much!! I would encourage you to look at Alice hart Davies instagram from today - she has been posting a lot of stories on it.
I think it’s def the future skin booster .

Ive also have potenza rf, good results, doesn’t hurt that much , and cheaper.

Delatron · 26/10/2025 21:01

Thanks @Nkmama15 will
check out Alice. I do follow her on instagram and she gives out good advice. And thanks for the tip on Potenza RF - so many options out there.

Maybe they are too polite. I see lots of tweakments in my job. Up close they never look good but I’m far too polite to say anything. A close friend has recently had her face savaged by some aestheticism, I doubt it was cheap since she is very, very wealthy, but her beautiful pixie-like face now looks more troll like.
She would have been far better investing in a proper face lift.
Lip fillers gradually destroy the fine capillary beds in your lips resulting in the natural colour disappearing and the filler clumps so that your lips look like frogspawn or tapioca.
Botox done well is great but it’s rarely done well.
I think that women who have work done also use a lot of filters in photos and only see their faces in still photos so don’t realise the effect on their faces when speaking or smiling. It can be quite alarming when you meet someone you know after they’ve had work done. But again, most of us are too polite to say anything or maybe two faced to comment negatively.

Nope. It's so subtle you wouldn't notice it as an outsider. I too used to think you can always tell who's had filler but that's cos I assumed noticeable filler, what I see now as overfill but each to her own, was just how all filler looked. It doesn't.
