I'm Scandinavian and tall. As a child I was very blonde these days it's gone to a dull dark blonde/light brown colour.

The last few times I've gone to my (very good) hair dresser I've ended up with blonde balayage but last time it really ended up too blonde for me.. (I have fed this back to my hair dresser)

Problem is due to my colouring I suit the blonde look but growing up in Scandinavia that light blonde for me is soooo mediocre and dull. It doesn't make me feel good it makes me feel like I've paid a lot of money to look like everyone else.

However I've been trying to find some sort of colour look I will like for my appointment tomorrow. I feel really lost. While I know my hair stylist will listen and try to help me. I also know that he feels what suits me the best is this light blonde (aka for me dull and boring) look. It's been made worse by the fact I do get a lot of compliments on the colour so I kinda know he is right. But I just don't like it.

Aby idea what I should look for? I've pondered about a rose gold colour. But I am really not sure. I really don't want to go for the blue/pink/purple ideas it's not me..

Only thing I do know is I dont want to once more walk out of hair dresser feeling I look like every single girl I went to school with. Again.

Mushroom blonde maybe - a cool beige? Gets away from the yellow blonde end of the spectrum.

If you google image 'mushroom blonde' you'll see what I mean.
