Dress me like Claudia W for a birthday dinner in a country pub!

Hey!

My birthday, my partners birthday (and Valentine’s Day if you’re into that kinda thing) all fall around the same date in early Feb, leaving the rest of the year somewhat devoid of reasons to celebrate “us”!

So Ive booked us dinner at a nice pub in Norfolk and we’re going up for a weekend of long blustery walks etc.

I love dressing up and despite the inevitable rain, snow and (or) sleet, I’d really love to look nice, esp for the dinner.

Ideally I’d like an outfit that’s a bit like Claudia W in The Traitors!! But maybe slightly more evening-y. Country with a fashion edge.

I’m 5 ft 5, size 10, wobbly all over, big baby belly, and saggy boobs 🤓.

I have brown / auburn hair, pale blue eyes, sallow pale skin, cheeks that tend to red (rosacea - all the joys!).

Despite my ripe old age (turning 44) I haven’t got a clue what colours suit me - I think green and burgundy do.

budget = 150-200 at push

I found this article for inspiration. Looks like wool/tweed and a bit of velvet for evening.

Thankyou!!!

I think I actually prefer the daytime looks. I love the kilt / jumper (realise this might be controversial!) but need it to have a tiny bit more “evening” about it…

Also, why is it I always like the £2k YSL
jacket and the £55 knitted cuffs!! The pieces I’m not sure I can justify!
