Practical bag

I’d like to get a practical bag, but not childish or scruffy sports. I’ve been carrying battered kanken rucksack for years. Can get an A4 folder in, a water bottle and it’s it enough for stuff.
I think realistically for comfort I’m looking for a rucksack, unless there’s a comfy alternative I haven’t thought of.
I’m not a super smart, but I’d like an everyday compromise between mum-bag and style….

You probably need the Roka lucky dip thread - those rucksacks would tick all your boxes.

I've just ordered one of these (in black) - looks more "grown up" than the kanken backpacks and can be used as a tote/shoulder bag as well as a backpack.

I like the shape of that a lot

I just bought a black north face bag and it’s just great

Which colour(s) do you like?
I saw the navy one for £68. The yellow one is cheap on Amazon but if you want smart I guess yellow is out!

Get yourself on the Roka website - you can either get one you like at full price or they are running a lucky dip where you can get a bargain!

That's nice. Personally I want waterproof or at least water resistant so I wouldn't get it for that reason. The style is good though.

I'm tempted by the Roka lucky dip but am fussy and there's only a couple I would actually like. If I didn't want to keep it, how easy would it be to sell it on the Roka thread or Vinted, do you think?!

There is a massive swap and sale thread for the Roka lucky dip on here on Mumsnet. I sold my one instantly and bought my holy grail one.

About 50% I like but some are no way

Pretty easy at the heavily reduced price of a lucky dip - or there’s a thread on here with swaps and sales. Or if you look on Vinted you might see one you want as there are tons people are selling from the lucky dips. I paid full price for one last year (£85 for a large Canfield) and it’s well worth it.
