Dry flaky face skin

I have always had very dry skin but get large cystic spots breakouts on my chin and jaw line. I can't use oily products as they trigger breakouts. Years ago I discovered Clinique moisture surge but even that isn't cutting the mustard these days. My forehead is flaky and around my nose is too. The skin on my cheeks sort of pinches with being so tight after I have a shower. Water is awful for my skin and my face literally hurts from being so dry when I get out.
Does anyone else have this skin type? Any product recommendations?

I took Roaccutane as a young adult and have tended towards very dry skin ever since (sorted my acne though, which I'm very grateful for!). My holy grail product is Eucerin Urea Repair, I've tried other things and end up going back to this every time. There is a day and a night version, get the night version as this is the most moisturising! It works really well to get rid of flakiness and tightness and is great for sensitive skin too.

Thank so much.

@marshmallowworld I've used the weleda one before but it sort of sat on top of my skin and didn't sink in. Are the others you've recommended a similar formula?

I used the calendula facial not the skin food. But I discovered the Moo Goo range afterwards and I think that's better. I use the MSM soothing one but I've heard good thinks about the Udder one too. They all look great

Thanks again. Have you got any foundation recommendations? I've never found a foundation that doesn't make my forehead flake really obviously.

Honestly imo foundation is just bad for skin, esp problematic skin. You're better off really focusing on good skin care. Ironically, I can only use make up on my skin when it's at its best, precisely because it's sticks in flaky bits etc. and even then I stick to a v light CC or BB cream. I'm also about to try mineral powders (not foundation) to just set the bits I need to and leave the rest pretty bare
