Additional ear piercing

After 40 years with your standard single ear piercing, I am suddenly contemplating a second piercing. I am fairly conservative and work in an office, wear ordinary clothes and have an ordinary hairdo that mostly covers my ears. I guess it's never too late, but if I do it, which is best - lobe or upper ear?

Lobe hurts less and heals quicker but both are nice

There are other options as well like daith, or tragus if you haven't explored them yet?

I think with the lovely new style gold piercing jewellery available any ear piercing can look nice.

Have a look at Tish Lyon and google 'curated ears'

I have several of both types and I love them all, but if in your situation right now, I'd get it on the upper ear.

I don't think piercings themselves are a trend that will die, but I suspect wearing stacks of tiny hoops and studs might be on the way out as bigger jewellery becomes more popular. A cartilage piercing somewhere more unusual will look like more of a deliberate choice.

I did the same OP (I’m 60) and went for lobe. I’m now considering a cartilage! My friend spotted my second one and said “ooh you hussy” 😳😏.
