Lipstick challenge January 2023!

Sorry I'm late! I've missed this thread the last few years, (if there was one!) Some of you know of my lipstick hoarding tendancies, although I didn't buy that many last year, I was buying nail polish instead! I have hundreds of lipsticks, in all the shades of the rainbow and then some!

This game is simple. Dig out your neglected lippies and wear a different one each day, and post a picture of it, either of yourself wearing it or the tube. 😊 I need to get back into wearing lipstick, my lips have been horrendously dry this winter so I've been wearing lip balm instead! 🏜️

@AllTheChaos Maybe try putting on some lip balm before you start your makeup then by the time you get round to your lips it will have sunk in and your lips will be be soft and plump and the lipstick less likely to bleed. I swear by this .

@AllTheChaos You can get clear lip liners, that way you don't have to worry about matching it. I've never got on with lip brushes, maybe it's just me, but I find they soak up more lipstick than they apply!

@AllTheChaos you have beautiful lips, they are an incredible shape! Have you tried using a lip primer before applying your lipstick? Like @Popcorndoggy says I think a lipbrush would work brilliantly on your lips, also if you don't want to use a lipliner you could use a liner brush with lipstick on the outside of your lip and then fill in with a bigger lipbrush. Then blot with tissue&reapply if needed.

This is my favourite lip colour, but I only get to wear it a few times a year, plus i'm 44 next month and worry it's too much😂

Thank you! I bought some lipsticks from the Nails Inc website ages ago and I'm only getting around to wearing them. They had lots of sparkly ones. 😁

Me too @SapphireSeptember although blue and black don't suit my skintone, I wear a lot of grey and green. It's an old revolution metallic matte I think it's called neptune, I use a rimmel eyeliner as a lipliner and dont laugh, but a green edible icing pen as a base to stop the annoying line on th inside of your lip, plus it lasts longer. I use a pink&red icing pen for other shades, it honestly works a treat!

This is a grey I use for day to day, it's maybelline huntress, mixed with grey envy.

Oh goodness, you’re all so kind! I hate my dry, wonky mouth 😂 Will definitely try the clear lip balm first, I’ve never even heard of lip primer but hopefully the balm will do the trick, along with the other tips given here x

It's all that modern 'natural' stuff, when what you actually need for longevity is industrial chemicals! I'm sure half of my face at least has been embalmed over the years....

Today is barry m blush liner and maybelline grey envy had to dig deep for them.

Today I have dug out from the bottom of my makeup bag an Urban Decay mini. It’s so tiny I can barely read the text on the label to tell what it is.
I suspect this probably came from a beauty advent calendar or a sample from work. I think it says Vice lip chemistry in Physique on the label. I actually quite like it. It’s a nice warm brown/nude colour on me.

These lipkits were the best things ever I had loads of colours, so sad when the discontinued them. It's almost empty, but I brought it out for today. Barry m metallic prestige.

Last one of the week because i'm off until next Tuesday woop. It's barry m lipkit in blowout.
