Bra for Tween

Songlyrics · 03/01/2024 09:57

Hi All,

Please can I have recommendations for good bras for tweens. We've tried an M&S sports bra for our 11yr old. It's fine and she begrudgingly wears it for a high impact sport that she takes very seriously, but I'm looking for something she can feel more positive about wearing.

I had thought sports bras would be the way to go as they look less like underwear, but they also seem to be brightly coloured/dark and often highly patterned, and I'm looking for things that won't show through her school shirt too much, as well.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Eldest daughter, so first time buying, and don't want to waste money on bad purchases. Thanks!

We had great problems with this dd is a 26d (they don't do that size) and also sensory issues due to asd. We've found the m and s first bras great for under uniform (they come off with the coat at the door but is happy to wear when out).

My ASD 12 year old gets on well with the primark crop top sports bras.

My DD hates bras that made her boobs look flat or like a mono boob

We went to Prinmark and she chose a few padded bras

One very happy tween DD who was self conscious as it turned out about having small boobs at the time

I did initially buy her some Victoria Secret Pink sports bras in a sale they had which she did like till she wanted padded bras

My teen DD had these. They have a better shape than the photo suggests. No monoboob.

Thanks for the suggestions! Will now risk broaching the subject with my DD!
