Flying long haul soon and I need an outfit to wear on the plane. it's going to be cold when we go but pretty hot where I'm going (high 20s) so needs to be also suitable for when we land or so I can at least strip some layers off

I always want to look stylish when I am flying somewhere but instead I just always end up looking like some kind of stressed out homeless turd. I would love to look effortlessly cool but also be comfy on the flight

Chic and comfy flyers, tell me your secrets please 🙏

This lady usually looks effortless as she travels the world, and is also quite down to earth.

I'm the same as you OP.

Next time I fly I'm going to wear:

Dark colours - and stick to only 1-2 colours per outfit
Long sleeved T-shirt, with a sleeveless top underneath
Jersey trousers with pockets
Wool/cashmere socks
A warm jumper/hoodie
Big scarf

This way I have lots of layers to peel off when I get somewhere warm.

Scarves are your friend. Something light and silky to dress up an outfit when you arrive and something huge, lightweight and cosy for the journey there/plane.
And layers

She looks nice but it's not really my style (thank you though )

Plus she's so tall and size 16 !!

I'm only 5 foot 2 and size 8 ...if I was taller I would probably naturally look more stylish- I don't think my short stature helps 😔

Some good ideas

I read in Grazia once that you should never wear more than 3 different colours 🤔

What shoes would you wear ?

Shoes depend on the holiday you’re having. I’ll be doing lots of walking so will wear some comfy trainers (that are easy to put on/take off as my feet always swell up!). But otherwise I’d wear some comfy slip on shoes.

I tend to wear a variation of the same thing when I travel long haul - black loose jersey trousers with an elasticated waistband, loose black top and a longish cardigan to go over it. I also bring a scarf. I bring a tshirt in my hand luggage to change into just before we land. I wear comfortable slip on trainer type shoes usually black or leopard print.

We're going to the Bahamas and staying at a Sandals resort so won't be doing too much walking 😂 I'm bringing havainas for beach and pool and some more pretty / dressy sandals for going out for dinner

But sandals / flip flops defo won't be suitable for February when departing / returning to the uk !
