I really like a cc cream - the best one seems to be Erborian - https://amzn.to/4aHOMJa

Its not a massive tube but you don’t need much.

I keep seeing this recommended here, how do we choose a colour? There doesn't seem to be much choice

@cherrypickles I bought maybelline dream radiant foundation based on recommendations on this board and it is brilliant. I'm 43 with dry skin, and it's been a repeat buy for me.

Cheeesus · 02/01/2024 13:16

Because it’s pretty sheer there are only a few.

I like No7 tinted moisturiser for a very light coverage

I'm a big believer in getting what you pay for WHEN it comes to foundation.
I'd rather go on Vinted and buy a high-end one that someone is selling cheaper than the shops. This often happens when people buy the wrong shade or whatever.
I have done this with Estée Lauder Double Wear, Armani, Lanera and Charlotte Tilbury foundations.

JMSA · 02/01/2024 14:58

I should add that I'm not a snob when it comes to other make-up items! Only foundation. And mascara Blush

Thanks I managed to get to a big boots and tried the Erborian and ordered from Amazon for £13.

The colours are kind of magic! The come oit of the turn white and turn skin coloured!

The clair one was fine for me with medium light skin colouring, (somewhere between fair and tan)

I've also seen the maybelline one in insta as a dive for CT and I will try that next.

I don't mind spending money if I can try something first, but if I'm just doing it on a whim and it isn't right I hate wasting money and resourse 🌍 🍃🫶

The erborian CC cream is perfect! Than you @cheesus

@Snowfalling there are 4 colours, Clair, dore, caramel and chocolat

The product comes out white and blends with your skin. I googled a lot and there is a picture of about 12 people wearing the shades and I picked the one closest to me.

I might try dore in the summer.

I am white skinned light to medium and got the "clair"

Please can you post the Amazon link?

I've just started using the Eborian cc cream too, but the water version which is even lighter than the normal cc cream. I do still need to use concealer for blemishes but I've been getting loads of compliments about how well I look (which ironic as I've had flu all Christmas) so it must be good.
