I'm finally opening the bargain Christmas 2022 Cowshed AC for Jadvent. Seems apt to have a bracing shower gel for January 1st.

Yes I am, I have the M&S calendar and liked today's lipstick.

Cnidarian · 01/01/2024 23:35

What is this now?! January Advent? Oh now then there's an idea! I had the M+S this year @Isabelle70 and thought it was great, enjoy!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 01/01/2024 23:50

I have the boots lift and luminate. Today was a toner. It has some very impressive claims as to what it does. Hopefully they are true 😁

GlitteringUnicorn · 02/01/2024 06:59

Look Fantastic here
I always buy a sneaky second one for January- it's such a bleak month it cheers me up!

Housewife2010 · 02/01/2024 08:55

This is my first Jadvent. Last year I did the bargain Bare minerals AC for the 12 days of Christmas & it definitely helped the ease into grotty January.

So glad I happened upon this thread! I’d forgotten about the Space NK 12 day perfume calendar I’d gotten myself for Jadvent. Day one a Diptique hair mist. Unsure of why it exists but I’ll try it. Day 2 a Byredo Bal d’Afrique perfume

Housewife2010 · 02/01/2024 09:47

Day 2 Cowshed mini relax candle.
@ pepperaunt That sounds a fantastic AC to start January.

Yep, i’m doing Sephora. Lots of items were missing were missing when it arrived so I had to wait for those to be sent, then put them in the boxes while trying to not see what they were. Anyway by that point I was pretty pissed off so I decided to leave it for Jadvent so I could actually enjoy it! Day 1 was an Elemis cleansing balm, day 2 is some sort of hair treatment.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 02/01/2024 11:05

Today in No 7 was a hand polish. Basically, a scrub. I tried it this morning and my rather dry hands are feeling lovely and smooth. It's a definite 👍🏻 from me.

I love the Elemis cleansing balm. I'd never pay full price for it though.

@Housewife2010 so glad I treated myself, especially after the disappointment of the Harrods calendar

Blarn · 02/01/2024 11:59

I usually pick up a mega cheap beauty advent calendar in January and open them with a cup of coffee and slice of cake. There are none left this year, I shouldn't have told so many people about it! Grin

Pinenu · 02/01/2024 12:13

I’m in.

I have Liberty. Yesterday was a very lovely own brand perfume and today was a serum by seated queen.

I’m new to the perfume world so happy to try new things. It’ll take me a while to get to the serum but I enjoy their cold cream so hopefully it’ll be a winner.

Talisin · 03/01/2024 06:34

Aromatherapy Assoc. bath oil and a small Exfolikate today.

Housewife2010 · 03/01/2024 09:22

I got a mini shave cream in my Cowshed AC today. Not terribly exciting, but will be useful on holiday.

@Pinenu I had Liberty this year. So lovely. You have lots to look forward to.

I have the Fenwick 12 day advent for Jadvent. Day 1 was the EGF bio effect serum which I was very pleased with as wanted to try. There was also a beauty stamp self exfoliating device. Will do more research on that before using.
Day 2 was a full sized Bobbi Brown mascara.
Day 3 is the Augustinus Bader rich cream which seems to be popping up in most advent calendars this year.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 03/01/2024 11:31

An extremely beige lipstick from No 7. It seems a very odd choice of colour. I can't imagine it suiting too many people.

I've got the Next one but I'm waiting until Sunday to start it so it lasts until 31st Jan.

I had the m&S one in December but haven't had the Next one before, so looking forward to it.

Pinenu · 03/01/2024 13:19

That’s good to know @Housewife2010 I did check the contents way back in August but have forgotten most.

Today was Sunday Riley Luna oil, which makes me feel very guilty for buying a Sunday Riley gift set for myself yesterday.

Oh dear @OchonAgusOchonOh that shade does have Victorian ghost child vibes about it. Maybe try it as a cream blush?

OchonAgusOchonOh · 03/01/2024 13:30

@Pinenu Perfect description😀

pepperaunt · 03/01/2024 17:36

Double perfume today: Juliette Has a Gun Lust for Sun and Ellis Brooklyn (despite the name, based in suburban Connecticut) Myth. Both large sample sizes

pepperaunt · 03/01/2024 17:38

@OchonAgusOchonOh that lipstick reminds me of the colour my secretary wore in the 90’s

Isabelle70 · 03/01/2024 17:52

M&S had a small Nuxe oil in today. Not sure if I need another so I may take to work to gift on.

Was she scary? It definitely has scary secretary vibes about it. There was a very scary secretary in dc's school at one stage. I could see her wearing that.
