My face has changed and I feel sad

I turned 54 a few days ago and felt really good. Of course I need to put down the Christmas chocs like everyone else but I'm in reasonable shape and everyone always said I look young for my age. Well, not any more. I saw pictures from yesterday and it looks like my visage has collapsed and I've suddenly got a square face. Really wide. I'm very upset. I realise this is shallow of me but I just want to mourn and moan a bit. Has anyone else had this?

At 52 am finally grateful for my big chin 😩

Not entirely sure that's universally true about high cheekbones. I've always had them but now they are paired with almighty crevices from nose to mouth and I've taken on a sort of death head appearance. It's true I don't have jowls (yet) but the alternative is kind of gaunt and severe-looking, especially with the lovely deep line that's appeared across my forehead.

No, shouldn't imagine it's universally true about high cheekbones. It will depend on overall face shape, genetics etc My guess anyway.

Jumping on this too. Am 50 and very aware of the changes in my face over the past 5 years or so. Sagging top eyelids, down turned mouth and jowly. Reading all of the tips with interest

A still shot can make anyone look awful. I look a million times better in a video where I am animated, than I do in a photo.

Same, and it's not an age thing, I've always looked awful unless it's very posed at a certain angle.
Features can look odd on a flat picture

lol at the ugly selfies I take those too and so do my friends

look it was prob the angle , you can do other things to make you feel good over all .

i suggest a night out - nice outfit extra care with make up lovely perfume and a nice shoe

def not saying this will fix how you feel just an idea to make you feel better and positive

I've started using prai day and night neck cream. Only been using it a week and noticed a difference. I read good reviews before buying but was still sceptical

Interesting about dressing up and going out, I will try that.
I always hate my selfies at the time but a year later I will think, hmm, I looked really good back then! And I looked better close up than far away.
But now my skin looks grey and my eyes have permanent puffy dark circles and the bottom half of my face bulges out.
I dread to think how I will look in a year 😫
