What beauty treatments do you use, not fillers or botox

I’m looking to up my game in 2024. I’d like to do some facials or something to plump, tone and glow my skin.

I’ve thought about it, and Botox and fillers is not for me. I know others do this, but I just don’t fancy it.

What other effective treatments do people use? I’m already using Skin & Me. Anyone got an LED mask?

I has some laser this year, to get rid of some sun damage, and I won’t wait as long next time.

I'm the same as you OP.

I used to get a monthly facial for most of my 30s. (I am now 50). Then stopped due to children and the cost. My skin is really quite good though I largely ignore it. So I am looking to have a proper facial every 2 months. I also wish to get laser hair removal on my chin as i am sick of it. But my 2024 commitment to myself is to have a proper skin routine at night. Cleanse, tone and moisturise. I have also started using age defying creams from Aldi- not expensive but they seem to really suit my skin.

And... SUNSCREEN!!!!!! Another 2024 commitment to myself.

(Plus I am giving up drinking for good. I think that will be of use too).

What do you think of Skin & Me, OP? I've been using it for a while and it's really made a difference in terms of lines and texture but hasn't done much for pesky age spots which have appeared - think I will get laser treatment for those. Always wear high sun factors on face now!

Also, those Garnier face masks are excellent for putting some instant plumping and moisture into the skin - they're inexpensive and don't irritate my skin. I shall be putting one on tonight ☺️

I like Skin & Me. Sometimes I look in the mirror and my skin looks translucent. Like I am wearing some ivory foundation and am from a romantic painting. It certainly has done a good job. I also started using it on my décolletage (the days I miss my face, I use up the spare) and it has transformed this area. I don't have age spots yet, so don't know about that.

Something petty I'd like your opinion on. I can't say this anywhere else. One of my friends has had fillers and botox and then has had a lot of slimming sessions (fat freezing etc.) and takes slimming pills etc. I was at a party the other night and everyone was commenting on how amazing and young she looks. She does of course, but it just made me feel shit. I am not unhappy with my looks, but I just felt a bit meh because to battle my demons (weight, health) I work really hard, training down the gym and loads of cardio. I am also massively health conscious. I felt pressured, like if I don't have botox and fillers then I am going to look terrible. Childish huh?

Is it laser, or electrolysis you need? If they are whiskers, laser won't shift them.
