After reading many threads on here I've finally registered with Skin & Me and am waiting for my first month of potions. However I have an existing appt for microdermabrasion next Friday (5th) and the advice is not to use retinoids for the week before or the week after.
So I've stopped using my existing retinol night cream, and won't use any of the new stuff until a week after the facial. Hoping that the microderm will get rid of all the nasties, meaning the new stuff will get to work straight away. Does that sound like a plan?
I've got a four month program as follows.
Your first prescriptions are:
Month 1: Tretinoin 0.006%, Niacinamide 4%, Azelaic Acid 4%
Month 2: Tretinoin 0.009%, Niacinamide 4%, Azelaic Acid 4%
Month 3: Tretinoin 0.012%, Niacinamide 4%, Azelaic Acid 4%
Month 4: Tretinoin 0.015%, Niacinamide 4%, Azelaic Acid 4%
About your ingredients
Tretinoin a retinoid with decades of evidence backing-up its effectiveness in treating acne
Niacinamide an antioxidant that's proven to reduce skin oil production and treat acne
Azelaic Acid normalises skin cells and has antibacterial effects
Hoping I'll finally be blackhead free aged 53!!
