Fat bulge between eyes and eyebrows

I only noticed this a week ago and I can see nothing else now. My right eye is so puffy, this new layer of fat sits on my eye lid and my side profile is a big bulge. My left eye is not as bad but still there. It seems to have developed overnight. I tried googling and it seems its an age related thing and irreversible. I look absolutely awful. I'm 46, is this it or can I do anything? I'm really upset. I am meeting friends tomorrow and suddenly don't want to go. I can't bear the thought of being this ugly for the rest of my life, why did it happen so suddenly?? Any advice or information please.

Are you sure it's not something like blepharatis?

I'm wondering if some gentle facial massage would help. Possibly got some fluid build up. Loads of vids on YouTube.
