Dyson Airwrap

Any hairwrap gurus that can share some tips on how to achieve lasting curls/generally beautiful hair with the Dyson airwrap. Product recommendations welcome too.

Christmas gift that I've had a few days playing about with now and I do like it a lot but I'm a bit useless at hair. Can't bear to listen to the influencers on the YouTube tutorials 🙈

Long, fine hair but my hairdresser tells me I have lots of it so it looks full. Slight wave naturally.

Thanks in advance.

For me, I had (recently had it chopped shorter) longish fine hair that rarely held a curl beyond and hour, and it took a bit if messing with but I find less product makes my hair less heavy and it holds much longer. The biggest thing that helped was ditching the conditioner.

Not just for holding a curl but the general state of my hair. I use a hair mask once a week and stick to just shampoo the rest of the time. I spent a small fortune in curl cremes and curl hold mousse and it turned out not using any product other than a bit of medium hold hair spray made my curls last all day.

Having my hair mostly dry and just a bit damp and using the cool shot helps a lot for the curls.

Smaller sections if you have a lot of hair may help. I don't have a lot and I can have my hair dried and styles in about 15 mins max.

Since having my hair cut to shoulder length the curls are lasting much longer. I'm assuming because there's less weight.

It's very hit and miss, I love it for my hair, Ive rarely used straighteners or tongs over the last three years but I've used mine on a few people hair and it's very very mixed results.

Dropping conditioner is an interesting idea. It takes an age to rinse out of my hair and if any is left my hair feels disgusting. Might give the once a week mask a try. I've also spent a fortune on products to encourage curls. Will give this a try, thank you.

It takes me half the time to do my hair so it's a winner with me and while I don't think I'll ever get two day curls out of it. I'm happy with one day curls. Spritzing with water and resting worked well yesterday between washes.
