At home nails

My nails are in bad shape from too many gels this year so trying to look for an alternative.

Normal nail polish can be fine but I'm not very good and it always looks a bit messy / lumpy.

Getting spammed on social media with adverts for different at home nail "varnish" kits. The main ones are:

  • what looks like a felt tip and you pretty much draw the polish on
  • one where you put a base coat on with a normal brush, dip your nail in powder then put a top coat on

Has anyone tried either of these and / or anything other than normal nail polish? I don't want to do at home gels really..

Thanks!

I do my own nails but don’t do much tbh. A base coat, essie colour & top coat & leave them natural some weeks.

I know you didn’t want normal nail polish but Essie is easy to paint with & initially I wasn’t very neat.

I might give Essie a go then!!! Worth a try..

If it helps start with a brush stroke in the middle, don't go right to the bottom & then on either side so not touching the sides either
