Help me with eyelashes for over 40s

I have short eyelashes. I home dye them which helps but I'd love a bit more while still on the more natural side of the scale.

I tried Lola's lashes magnetic ones but could not get them to work at all.

I also trued eyelash serum that worked wonderfully but I'm a bit nervous of long term side effects of using it so have stopped.

Any advice on what I could try?

Thank you @Bluebandedhawk . I love to try things at home myself.

Which eyelash serum did you use? I have short eyelashes that are a bit sparse...

I promise I don't work for them, the amount of times I've recommended them you would think I do but I just like them. Maybe have a look at lash ribbons, they're cheaper than the ones linked I think but also slightly different. Same idea though, it's pretty much at home lash extensions. Various lengths and styles so you can pick what suits you best. I use them regularly and although they can be tricky at first I found them much easier than the usual false lashes including the magnetic ones which I had also tried previously.

Lash tint and lift is a game changer, but you need to get them done every 8 weeks or so, so not a cheap option

I tried a number. The only one that works for me is Augustinus Bader: The Eyebrow and Lash Enhancing Serum. This is the only one that doesn't cause problems with my ridiculously sensitive skin and eyes.

It more than tripled the length of my eyelashes. This is less impressive than it sounds because my longest eyelash, pre-treatment, was <3mm. Some of my lashes are now about 9mm. But, the places where there were negligible lashes, still don't have any.

I can't wear false lashes at all. People do notice that my eyes look a bit different because it is a big change for me. But, I can't justify the cost (it's very expensive even if you can arrange to get it from duty-free on a regular basis).

What's the minimum lash length needed for a lash lift to make a difference, please?

Lash lift didn't work for me 😭 individual lash extensions is what I have, very expensive though.
