Blocked pores - which acid?

I've got blocked pores on my cheeks - like little whiteheads without heads but if I have a squeeze I can get stuff out. They're not visible in all lights but the horrific overhead lighting in my brother's bathroom yesterday really showed them so I stayed in there for 10 minutes having a go at them! Which exfoliant will best get rid of them? Lactic? Salicylic? Is there a reasonably priced one anyone can recommend? Thanks

I was getting the little whitehead spots in my nose. Clean and Clear blackhead cleanser keeps them at bay, if you want a cheap option.

Salicylic acid. I get a cheap serum from bodycare (Creightons), its great for clearing up spots.

I think you should try softening everything with a cleansing balm or oil massaged all over the affected area for a couple of minutes, then emulsified and rinsed off with warm water. Then get a cleanser like Eradikate by Kate Somerville and foam it up on your hands, then leave it on to work for at least a minute before rinsing and applying a gentle moisturiser will help enormously. (Eradicate has sulphur in it which works amazingly well for this.)
