Chelsea boot recommendations - not DM's

I got some DM's for Christmas form DH at my request but have decided to send them back as they are so hard and clompy. They feel like moon boots and really rubbed my leg for the few minutes I wore them. Can anyone recommend some nice soft leather Chelsea boots that don't feel quite so huge?

Have you looked at Blundstone Chelsea boots ? I quite like the look of them but I've only ever seen them online or on people's feet so I can't comment if they are clumpy and heavy . Similar price to the dm boots .

@Mairzydotes thanks they look good. A bit daintier than the DMs too. I actually bought some for a bargain price on the monsoon sale!

I'm a fan of the Fly London Chelsea boots, called Salv. Much much more comfy than DMs

Ecco has some nice ones, deceptively light and ultra comfy

These are perfect! I will definitely buy if my monsoon cheapies are no good

Which DMs did you buy? The fur lined leather ones aren’t heavy or clumpy.

@IwishIdidntlikesugar I bought the 2976 Virginia leather Chelsea boots. The fur lined ones looked similar size and shape to me. I'd also get too sweaty in fur lined ones I think.

Oh. I have the leonore version. Perhaps the fur stops them from rubbing. I always wear 2 pairs of socks with them (trainer socks then normal ankle socks). I was worried i would sweat too but I’ve worn them most days for around a year and no problem. I remember having a pair of clarks boots that i got rid of because i found them heavy but these are fine. I did try some other dm boots on in the shop (can’t remember the design) but they were definitely heavier and the assistant said they wouldn’t be as comfortable as the fur ones.
