Would like to buy a Le Pliage bag for my daughter, but it's full price all the way with this lot Grin
Has anyone found anything?
Many thanks in advance.

They’ve occasionally been on Brand Alley but I’ve never managed to get one in the styles I’ve been interested in.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 26/12/2023 06:43

There’s an outlet shop at Bicester village if you are nearby.

Housewife2010 · 26/12/2023 07:19

There's an outlet at Cheshire Oaks too.

JMSA · 26/12/2023 08:03

Thanks but I'm in Scotland.

They are good value, I think, if you look at it on cost per wear. Mine are ancient and still going strong. DD has had hers for about 6 years and uses it a lot ( was her school/college tote).

NextPrimeMinister · 26/12/2023 09:36

I bought a rucksack version and paid full price as I was using vouchers ftom work. It's been brilliant and I'm now thinking if getting a tote, and paying full price, if need be.

pepperaunt · 26/12/2023 09:43

Think some shops in Bicester Village sell online. The ones on sale in the shop seemed to be patterns or odd colours

Lovethatforyouhun · 26/12/2023 09:44

Selfridges always have them in the sale

JMSA · 26/12/2023 17:18

Thanks everyone.

If she just wants the look, there are some excellent lookalikes on eBay, mine has survived three months of daily use full of bulky and heavy stuff and is still looking very smart for £25ish.

twilightcafe · 26/12/2023 17:33

The Le Pliages at Bicester Village are about £80 as opposed to £110 on the High Street, if that helps.
Colour ranges are also limited.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 26/12/2023 17:55

The black and navy at Bicester are full
price. It’s the random colours that are slightly cheaper.

no family member that works for John Lewis or a department store that would buy with discount?

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 26/12/2023 18:42

There's not really any reason for Le Pliage to be discounted in a sale, except as pepperaunt said for the odd oddly coloured/ oddly styled new model which perhaps didn't take off. It's not as if Longchamp need to clear their shelves of the rest of their stock- it'll sell anyway.

Someone said Selfridges has them on sale. Not online they don't.

yoshiblue · 26/12/2023 19:04

Not if you want a classic colour eg black/navy. TBH, life is too short and I'd just buy one. I use mine all the time and have a great handbag insert inside for various bits too.

BeaLola · 27/12/2023 12:03

I have bought discounted online from Longchamp and also John Lewis

ElleDeeCB · 27/12/2023 12:07

I managed to get the black one I wanted from Brand Alley but I had to be quick off the mark. It’s lasted brilliantly but if I ever did have to replace it I wouldn’t mind paying full price as the cost per use is still very good value.

Cyclingmummy1 · 27/12/2023 13:04

I found one when sorting through my mum's handbags. I'm not sure I'd ever seen her use it.

BlazingJune · 27/12/2023 14:15

Very occasionally J Lewis have 20% but that's maybe once a year.
If you can accept 2nd hand there are plenty for sale on Ebay and Vinted.

I've had mine (new) for around 10 years, and it's still going strong.
I've since bought the small top handle version and also the luggage version.

I'm hankering after another shoulder one and like the recycled ones.

They are a silly price for a bit of nylon but they do last.

The only thing that changes are the colours.
