What are you buying in the boxing day sales? Style and beauty related of course!

I am looking for the following:
An everyday silver necklace
Winter/ snow boots
Quality wool jumpers

What are you buying?

I want to get a new selection of BABW lotions and sprays, my current collection is running low.
Need to get some new bras and pants so hoping M&S have some offers on

Littleguggi · 25/12/2023 23:12

Nothing has caught my eye yet and I've been online shopping for days! Which shops have the best sales on?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 25/12/2023 23:20

I need some new nightshirts - not very exciting!

Littleguggi · 25/12/2023 23:42

Ahh you've reminded me I could also do with some new nightwear!

Very unexciting- towels! That said I ordered a pair of boots in the Clarks sale at 50% off, just before Christmas. They are so small it’s ridiculous, so now I have the hassle of returning them!

coffeestrongblacknosugar · 26/12/2023 08:33

Ive just bought a couple of things from SpaceNK.

Getamoveon36 · 26/12/2023 09:07

Boxing Day shopping is my idea of hell. Online or otherwise. Give me a dog walk, a film and a tub of quality street!

AtillaTheHon · 26/12/2023 09:42

I've bought some socks and a v neck cotton sweater from M&S. That is it now for me I think as I bought some fun things before Christmas. Doing a classic no spend / no buy January I think! My equivalent of the January diet Grin

Undineimmor · 26/12/2023 09:47

The White Stuff had some nice wool and cashmere jumpers.

I am on no spend, no drink and diet 2 months. Much needed!!!!!

I have lots of lovely clothes already luckily.

Surely most of this shopping is happening on devices whilst the film is on?

I wouldn't want to go to a physical shop on Boxing Day (most places are closed anyway), but a bit of online shopping provides a welcome distraction from the cooking and entertaining for several generations of extended family. Pretty sure my teen DC are doing similar whilst half watching a film.

TotalAbsenceOfImperialRaiment · 26/12/2023 10:45

A new mattress. Can't really risk doing that online.

lindyloo57 · 26/12/2023 12:23

I have been on the look out for a couple of blazers, I managed to buy in the next clearance just before Christmas, a mango black cropped one for £38 and a black and white one, £47 , that's all I need, I did look on the boots half price sale which started earlier this year online Christmas day, I brought 3 gift sets for presents, nearly brought the laura mercier gift set for myself, but didn't, as I don't need it , bought a half price yankee candle instead.

lindyloo57 · 26/12/2023 12:24

Christmas eve not day .

Isabelle70 · 26/12/2023 15:04

A Mountain Warehouse down coat in black as I have the khaki one already and it's such a nice coat and fit I got the one in black too.
I would like a new dinner set so will have a look and see what my local M&S has and might be able to use my Christmas vouchers from my employer.

SplendidPendips · 26/12/2023 15:12

I really need to lose weight, so can't buy clothes at the moment. But have just spent way too much money on the Elizabeth Scarlett website (love their pouches and got one for my mum's birthday next month, and two for me!) and managed to get some good kids clothes in the Next sale when it opened for 'VIPs' before Christmas.

clowniform · 26/12/2023 15:52

Sticking only to items already on my stalk wish list while snuggled up on the sofa I've ordered:
Toast ikat jacket and culotte set
Bobbies ankle boots
YMC cords
Kate Sheridan bag
COS Stephen Doherty silk kerchief and layering merino rollneck
R&B fisherman sandals for summer (a few pairs, intending to keep only 1)
....and some staple skincare/makeup top-ups.
😱

A pair of trousers half price in JL sale
A Jaeger coat in M&S sale
A pair of Esska sandals from Anthropologie. All at least half price and all were on the wish list so I was waiting to pounce. This also doubles as my Xmas present from my husband, so relatively guilt free.

Bit pointless commenting on a thread about it then really don't you think? Anyway, I'm looking out for some patent loafers or brogues for work, a new bra or two and maybe a thin knit jumper or two!

cuthbertthecat · 26/12/2023 16:35

My only sale purchases allowed were some bits from Sweaty Betty - hoodie, yoga pants and a comfy bra top.

It was about 80 quid which is about 50 quid more than I'd usually spend on this sort of stuff as I'd buy cheapie shit stuff from Amazon or Tesco or Primark which feels plasticky. But for once I am trying to buy better, buy less so I hope it is good stuff. It was all 60% off.

I have bought my daughter leggings and tops from SB before in the sales and she absolutely loves them! She wears them more often than her H&M/Primark stuff so they are a good buy when discounted. Good quality too!

Nothing from Victoria’s Secrets because it was shut. 🙈

I did get a pineapple plant from Ikea though, quietest I’ve ever seen Ikea.

Got some nice boots from Clarks - not sure I'd have picked them up if I hadn't tried them on first (with encouragement from OH) but really happy with them.
