Winter boots!

Looking for some good winter boots - a bit of an all rounder so something for chasing a small feral child around the playground, running errands and going to work (work with children so doesn’t need to be formal ).

We live fairly rurally and I have a toddler so there’s mud in almost every corner of my existence. I have Reynaud’s so need something warm and waterproof. I mostly wear dresses or skirts- tend to be fairly boho/homesteader?

Don’t want to spend a fortune but if I can get something that lasts - I’d prefer that to fast fashion

thanks all!

I’ve just taken delivery of a pair of Soloair Chelsea boots. Love them already.

I have recently succumbed to Country Boots.. and I don't care how fashionable people say they are..
There was a sale on Dublin River Boots and I snapped them up brand new for under £50.
I love them so much, they make my feet look smaller even though I had to order a size 9 EU43.
Tall, waterproof, comfortable.. I luffs them.. not for dancing or night out mind.. 🤔 though i would go to the pub in them 😁

Thanks all! Sign of the times that I’m at the ‘sensible shoe’ stage of life 🤦‍♀️

I've been at the sensible shoe stage my entire life so dont worry. 😁

I had Blundstones a few years back, the Chelsea style one, they were nice and warm and comfy with some thick socks. I got them in a sale and they last about 4 years.

I see a lot of trendy young things wearing them these days... So I am saying it was me that set the trend. 😁

@maldivemoment , I have those too and I love them.

@KissTheRains, Blundstones have been my shoes of choice since 1995! I need a reason not to wear them.

They're great boots, or the ones I had were, I don't know if the quality is the same now.

I matched them up with all kinds of outfits and they never looked out of place etc. I even found them comfortable for hiking in the peak district.

I may have to invest.. the ones I got were about £60, these days they're closer to £160
