I am just wondering if you lovely lot could recommend me a new perfume please I do have a lot already as love my perfume and I know I am getting gucci flora and gucci bloom for Christmas but dd (25) has said she would like to get me one so I'm after a nice one for this time of year. I really don't like vanilla and not a fan at all of angel or alien I find both too strong. My favourites which I already have are gucci bamboo, ultraviolet and jo malone pomegranate noir. All suggestions very welcome. Thanks for reading

I would get some nice sample sets. Kilian is quite boozy or penhaligons is fancy AF

Love gucci bloom, lucky you.

I like iris de prada which is absolutely lovely.

Also I love chanel no 19 for day and cristalle at night, but I'm not spending so much atm
I have clinique happy on today and it's gorgeous.

Another I love and go back to is dkny delicious, smells of apple peel.

Narciso Rodriguez for Her Eau de Parfum (the one in the pink bottle with the black box, not the one in the black bottle)

Guerlain Insolence (gorgeous if you like the smell of violets)

Tried to base these on what you have said that you already like.

YSL Libre is really really lovely

My top tip would be never to buy perfume without testing it. I got given a huge bottle of Gucci Bloom and gave it to an appreciative work colleague, similarly Tiger by her side. Perfume is so individual.

I agree with this. Different perfumes will smell different on different people.

Many perfumers now give you a small (5ml) sample, when you buy perfume, which you can use to decide whether you like it or not. Then you can return the bottle, unopened in its packaging, if you decide it’s not for you.
