Is this normal for gel extensions?

Hi all,

I got gel extensions at a nearby nail salon yesterday evening. It's my first time getting extensions, I usually just get gel polish and I'm a bit disappointed by how it seems to be lifting around the corner but wanted to check what others thought before I ring them to ask them to fix it.

No, it shouldn't be lifting already. It's been badly done.

No, that isn’t right. It looks like the whole cuticle area has been done badly. It also all looks a bit thick.

I have acrylic nails which are usually thicker than gels but mine are a lot thinner than yours.

Id go somewhere else in the future!

For comparison- mine are 3 days old- no lifting and smooth around the cuticle.
