Black puffer jacket

Any recommendations? 19 year old DD is in need of a warm coat for an upcoming trip (-10 temperatures!) and wants a classic black puffer, regular length or on the slightly cropped side. Budget up to around £300 but less is a bonus!

So far we’ve tried the Columbia Puffect jacket, looked fab online! Arrived today and it’s a lovely coat, great quality and warmth but sadly a bit too long on DD as she’s on the shorter side (5ft 5’). Going to look at North Face but she’s not overly keen as feels they’ve gotten a bit chavvy, she has a lighter coat from them and not a huge fan of it nowadays.

Any suggestions of alternatives greatly received!!

@Grumpyfroggy Yes we’d been looking at that one actually - Sadly a bit too cropped, looking for something in between but just can’t find it! Thank you though!

North face would be social suicide here so be careful. Dts chose in the end new look 3/4 length ones with no branding.

@idontlikealdi Fully aware, sadly! They’re popular where we are for all the wrong reasons. DD is tempted as they’re good coats but can’t bring herself to get one - scared of people thinking she’s a chav!! 🙈

It is funny how localised things are, around here North Face is still worn by all the fee paying school children and not see as chavvy at all (I would like to state that I don't think like this- just going by what the teens say!)

She had one of theirs when she was younger, absolutely beautiful coat but I’m told that it’s a bit of a social suicide brand nowadays.. can’t win with teens!

The puffer jackets are lovely and cosy with a soft lining

My DD 16 has one which she's worn since last winter or even the winter before that
