Where should I be shopping?

I want to refresh my wardrobe but have no idea where to start. I don’t love shopping and tend to buy online. key facts:

Size 14-16, large bust (34GG), large stomach.
Turning 40 soon
Need to be able to move freely
Easily irritated by frills, random cut outs, scratchy labels, getting too hot.
Not a huge budget, but open to buying second hand.
Tend to shop at White Stuff, Seasalt, Fat Face, etc. but finding the styles a bit frumpy and bored of those busy patterns.

What brands do you go for to look a bit more classy, grown up, professional, but for the everyday.

I’d love to buy a nice suit.

cheers for the inspiration!

Uniqlo, Arket, H&M, cos

Uniqlo and Me & Em ad M&S Me & Em copies. Me & Em is very expensive and recent quality has nosedived but good to look at the website for ideas. I keep an eye out for it on ebay/Vinted/charity shops. One advantage is that a lot of the older pieces have quarter zips at the neck so you can wear open over a vest to help minimise the appearance of your bust (34F here....)

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll take a closer look at Cos, and also Em and Me (never heard of them!)

I think M&S has really upped its game lately.

& other stories - got a great wool blazer there recently, goes with a real mix of smart or casual.

Zara, mango, hush, Abercrombie & fitch, Sezanne, Baukjen, Oliver Bonas. Maybe Mint Velvet.
