The Ordinary - help, I’m so confused

Hi. I’m early 50s and my skin is changing, oilier than usual and getting pore-y, but my biggest problem is crepey under eye skin.

Anyway, I’ve been given a box of The Ordinary “no brainer” products containing:

Granactive Retinoid 2% emulsion
Buffet
Natural Moisturising Factors + HA
Lash and brow serum

Anyone got any top tips for these? I looked on their website and there are so many products and I’m not sure what I need and it’s just confusing. Help!

I use the Buffet in the morning after cleansing, follow with the moisturiser.

Then the retinoid at night after cleansing. If it's your first time using it, start off every second day, then build up. Use the lash serum at night too.

With the retinoid you need to use an spf during the day, it's important as your skin will be more sensitive to UV, La Roche posay or Cerave are good and not expensive.

I love the ordinary, have been using them for years and my skin is good.

If you want to add something for your oily skin, their Niacinamide serum is very good, use it under the buffet.

Thank you @capelmustard, this is really helpful!

I’m finding the buffet quite sticky, am I doing it wrong?!

I dont think so. I use a few drops and sweep it out from the nose and it does feel tacky but soon dries

Bumping my own thread.

I’ve loved the granactive retinoid and it’s definitely made a difference to my skin, but I’m not keen on the smell. Are there any other retinol products (similar price) that anyone can recommend, please?
