I have various items of clothing that I've worn that remind me of certain happy events or times in my life so thought this may be a fun (lighthearted) thing to do.

This bag always makes me smile. Not because it's especially lovely, but it reminds me of so many nights out with friends as I always seemed to use this one on my most memorable ones for some reason. My favourite was when I was out with my 4 closest friends to celebrate the birth of our other friends' baby and I was so excited to tell them I was pregnant. Then one of the others said OMG so am I. Then the other two said the same. We were all pregnant. Lovely, happy night. 😊 I'd love to see your favourites and hear their stories.

Lovely idea for a thred OP, with a lovely story attached to it. Mine is my old beat up Lakeland men's jacket that I bought from a charity shop a few years back. I didn't expect I'd wear it as a main coat and don't even know what inspired me to buy it, but when I put it on, the heaviness and warmth was so comforting. It was a man's jacket so it has an inner pocket that we women don't seem to get. I have my phone and cash in there and just love reaching in to pay someone. The cost has become part of me. I wear it dressed down in scruffy work clothes and I wear it over evening wear. It's my fucking coat and I'll never part with it. When I first bought it, it was heavy and overwhelming on my frame, as the times gone on it feels weightless and like I've become stronger. I know it sounds daft but it's definitely my favorite ever buy.

It’s always the next buy, isn’t it. So it should be, too, if you like clothes.

But… this vintage Prada is a dear old mate. One of the few remaining bags I have after The Teen Neices of Magnificent Beauty went off with crates of 90s big hitters. Stella, Chloe, lots of clumpy Mulberries. We had to get two Ubers cos their aunt hoarded them for 30 years in a crate in the garden.

I’m delighted cos turns out the old bags are worth a fortune. This old bag’s just paid for the girls’ summer holiday as they sold what they don’t like. From useful item to a nice experience…

My oldest daughter was given a bag full of 90s clothes by her bonus auntie (my closest friend), that had been shoved in her loft for the last 25 ish years. Never seen a 17 year old so excited. 🤣

I'd love to show you THE red velvet hot pants but they are currently in the possession of my niece (19) and haven't been near MY butt in 30 years!

They were from a jumble sale and shared throughout the early 90s between me and my sister as we did with most of our clothes.

Wore them to every school and college house party. Been groped in them by many a sweaty pimply boy (with consent!)

Good times!
