Coat sizing. How does it work?

Seen a ski coat I like but it's only available online. Are you supposed to order your usual size (I.e . The manufacturers factor in jumper/fleece when they set the sizes) or do you order a larger size?

If my measurements are chest 88, hips 104, which EU size do I need?

I would go for Medium.

Order usual size - but I wouldn't expect your ski layers to be very bulky, I'd wear a slimline fleece. Unless the style of the jacket is very blouson, then you might be able to get away with a bulkier fleece.

Medium 40 or 42?

Whats a "normal size" though? Normal t-shirt size, normal jumper size, which brand? I have stuff which is a size 36 which fits and tops which are a 40 which fit. I have size 38 trousers which fit, but also size 44 which only just fit.
