Agree, looks gorgeous.
Maybe learn how to sew and make some? Some quite simple shapes

Tumilnaughts · 16/12/2023 05:46

£1200 for polyester?!?!?? No way that would ever be worth the money. Sure, the colours are great but you can fine similar styles and fabric composition at pretty much ever other high street store for a fraction of that price.

ShippingNews · 16/12/2023 06:50

Ridiculous prices for very simple garments. Find a dressmaker and show her the garments - they could make them for a fraction of the cost.

feralunderclass · 16/12/2023 06:55

The clothing you could definitely get made for a fraction of the price. I'm quite sure IKEA do similar material. The homeware is very similar to Oliver Bonas, right down to the packaging.

ScoobyG · 16/12/2023 06:58

Exactly what I was going to say. Looks like Oliver Bonas, but on steds!

Raggletaggles · 16/12/2023 07:08

Totally agree OP they’re my absolute favourite brand and look deceptively simple.
i tried on some of their dresses in Italy this summer and they hang beautifully. They’re silk and absolutely gorgeous. They do have sales so I’m hoping that’s how I’ll be able to eventually afford a dress. Was also slightly cheaper in Italy and they could sell it tax free if you showed your passport.

It's worth looking on Vestiare for this brand, at least you will see if full price is worth it for the quality www.vestiairecollective.com/search/

Floisme · 16/12/2023 09:41

Whilst I'm sure there's a hefty mark up, and I don't want to discourage anyone from learning to sew, I think the idea that it would be easy to recreate them yourself is a little bit ... ambitious. Simple shapes mean every mistake shows, especially if it's a delicate fabric, and it can take years to get good enough. And that's assuming you could source the fabrics easily and inexpensively. Those vibrant colours and prints won't be cheap - I'm reminded of looking round Joel and Son where £70 or £80 a metre was pretty standard.

I'd stalk them. Set up searches on every website you can think of and then hunker down and wait for the sales.

Was lucky to be in Hoi An, Vietnam last year where there are tailors everywhere. Got a few pieces copied from the website made with beautiful silk fabrics for £100 per article. Was very pleased indeed!

Ginmonkeyagain · 16/12/2023 09:47

There are some lovely statement peices on that site, the skirts in particular. The founder sounds entertainingly mad.

GettingStuffed · 16/12/2023 09:58

It sounds like going to Vietnam and getting a few copies made would be the most cost effective
😁

wizzywig · 16/12/2023 10:02

Damn the stuff is gorgeous. Their 'little luxuries' are still too pricy!

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 16/12/2023 10:54

Sister Jane has similar although the material won't be silk.

Still not cheap but a lot less expensive than your link. They are a Greek company but ship here. I love them.
