Help- YSL/Polene Christmas gift

I need help! I’m sending my partner Xmas ideas. I’ve fallen in love with this ysl wallet but unsure if it’s really worth paying so much for a wallet anymore with Apple Pay etc.

I think I’m between the wallet and the polene bag!

Some people chase fashion moments and worry about dating and some people buy classic. Some of Polene’s styles are definitely classic.

Is that not contradictory? If you’re chasing fashion ‘moments’ you can’t be worried about things dating. Which is fine!

I’m actually not worried about things becoming dated, only if I like them. I think polene bags are pretty simplistic and it’s unlikely you’d suddenly not like it. I also don’t really care about things being popular or not.. The label might have become more popular, and so, people think they’re ‘trendy.’ But I think if they’re well made and relatively simple in design, then you can wear for years. Much like other more luxury goods that I’ve bought.
I have gone for the polene in the end anyway!

I only wouldn’t buy the Polene bag as I’d be nervous of it getting marked.

I bought a cream/white Dior saddle bag (I think in sale?) and I do use it in summer but no way as near as much as the black one I was eyeing up but my friend advised on cream/white.

No it’s the people who chase the latest fashion who worry about dating because they want to be always of the moment.

If you buy classic - stuff doesn’t date so much.
