Nappy change bag ideas

I hate hate hate my nappy change bag - it has been through 3 babies and is as knackered as me.

It's one of those functional ones from Amazon - practical but not stylish.

Please suggest any improvements that might work hold all the crap

£15 backpack from Sports Direct. Plenty of pockets, sturdy. Job done.

I had an actual changing bag for a while. Once I realised a normal backpack was far more useful I gave away the expensive change bag.

What do you put in it?
We always just have a nice toiletry bag with basics like a change clothes, some cloth wipes, Ds allergy medicine, wet bag

Then that gets put in bottom of pram, normal rucksack, canvas shopping bag etc depending on how much we need for that trip. Added washable nappies , water bottle etc to whatever we use as they need topping up daily anyway. Use same toiletry bag now with toddler

Kanken.

The square shape lends itself to stack Nappies and wipes.
It comes with a foam sit pad, put that down, towel on top and there's your change mat.
Front pocket for keys, phone, purse, sweets, toy, dummies, sanity and anything else.

I love my Tiba and marl backpack. Not cheap but it’s well made and robust! Wish I had one for my first child!

I second tiba and marl!

I bought a standard supermarket one at first with ds1 and eventually upgraded and it was of the best things I bought for us! It's lasted over 2 years and I'll be reusing with baby no2 on the way.

You can find them on vinted and eBay in good condition too.

I never bothered with a nappy bag. Got one of those amazing changing roll things and just popped that in my usual lovely handbag!

Considering buying the buggy organiser too.

Thanks but I do want a change bag- if I'd asked for other bag suggestions I'd have said. I find change bags have pockets in the right places and stand up to being lugged about 24/7.

Tiba + Marl looks exactly what I'm after. I love a good buggy organiser - we go for long walks so I'll check that out.

I need room for cloth nappies and wipes, toddler snacks, spare vests/sleepsuits, bonus room for a brolly, breast pump, bottles, weaning food, a story, colouring to keep eldest busy, water, and at this time of year wooly hats. I have a tiny bag for my phone and keys. Will check vinted etc

I have a JoJo maman pushchair bag just big enough and takes no carrying, used to lump so much shit everywhere not anymore

riotlady · 14/12/2023 19:26

Another vote for Tiba and Marl, I got mine from Vinted looking basically new.

The Bambino Mio nappy baby is very good and is 20% off at the moment

fancyfrogs · 14/12/2023 20:19

I have a gigil backpack. Great size and had it for 3+ years for 2 babies and still going strong. Lots of pockets in the right places, comfortable to wear and clips to go on pram handle
