Eye make up for huge lids

All I can see in photos are my huge eye lids. I feel like they are becoming more prominent- probably because my eye brows are dropping maybe?? Should I be wearing a darker eyeshadow on the lid. It looks silly when I've tried it out.

You have hooded eyelids, yes? Take the eye shadow almost upto your brow bone, blending well so there's no harsh edge. Blend it outwards too and take a tiny amount under the lashes at the very outer corner of your lower eyelids, blending that too. Not too much because you don't want to emphasise any eye bags or increase the visual of your face sagging. It helps to give you some depth around the eye socket. Otherwise if you put shadow only between the upper eyelashes and the socket, like you could when younger, it largely disappears when you open your eyes and if you can see anything at all it's a small strip of colour then a bulging sagged eyelid on top.

I've not been clear. I have a huge top lid!
