Hello - has anyone had this treatment carried out?

Looking to have it used on my stubborn double chin.

How many sessions did you require and did it actually work?

I had one session last week and I’m due to go back Thursday for session 2, it should take 2-3 apparently on larger areas and I’m having it done on my lower belly ( pouch from c section). I’ve noticed no change so far and slight bruising but I’m hopeful. I believe you can see results within 24 hours on smaller areas like the face and I’ve heard rave reviews from lots of people online especially on chin. Not very helpful I know

Cas112 · 18/12/2023 14:23

Didn't work for me

Cyclistmumgrandma · 18/12/2023 14:31

Fat dissolving injections sound too good to be true, and if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

Thudercatsrule · 18/12/2023 15:17

I had 2 jabs on my tummy when i was losing weight and really spurred me on to lose the rest, just need to start exercising to tone up.

Ive also had 2 on my chin and loved it. Took a while for the results to show, but i'm massively happy with it and wont have a third as it not needed and i want the results to look natural. I did have quite a lot of bruising and had it in conjunction with botox which lifts the jawline

fishfingersandtoes · 18/12/2023 15:19

Where does the fat go once 'dissolved'?
What is it dissolved into?

Jude82 · 18/12/2023 16:52

@fishfingersandtoes I was told it dissolves a lot then exits through the lymphatic system, that’s why you should drink 2 litres of water a day so you can wee it out basically. That’s what I was told anyway.

Thudercatsrule · 18/12/2023 18:34

Yes lots and lots of water! and lots of arnica cream to stop the bruising.

PrimalLass · 21/12/2023 11:22

Has anyone done this themselves? I'm now fascinated with a DIY thread on Reddit for this sort of stuff.

biedrona · 21/12/2023 11:49

I've had aqualyx twice. Don't bother, it doesn't work

Jellycats4life · 21/12/2023 12:39

It just seems like yet another dubious injectable that can be administered by anyone who’s done a half day course. Or maybe that’s just the people I see advertising their services on FB.

ShittingPeugeot · 21/12/2023 13:02

I had it, it didn't work for me either. Was quite painful (and I'm used to Botox and a bit of filler)

Burnt afterwards and had little to no effect.

Ended up having chin lipo and it completely changed my life.

ShittingPeugeot · 21/12/2023 13:06

There's my before and after. I had a very very out of proportion chin as I'm only 8 stone. After chemo it wrecked havoc with where my body stored fat (thanks steroids) so I tried the injections.

If you can, save up for chin lipo. This was the day after too with lots of swelling still. You'd never know I had it as there's no scarring. Highly recommend. I'm 2 years on now and it looks even better without the post op swelling!

Looking incredible!

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 22/12/2023 04:05

I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. It can be done by ‘beauticians’ after only a four hour course. I wouldn’t let any anyone who wasn’t a doc/nurse/dentist near me with a needle. Regulation for these types of treatments is long overdue.

FiveShelties · 22/12/2023 04:10

I so wish this would work - knowing my luck it would dissolve from my fat tum and solidify on my rugby player's thighs😆

QueenBitch666 · 22/12/2023 04:35

My friend had it. Waste of money

Anothenamechange · 22/12/2023 08:33

I had it on my muffin tops and it worked. But I made sure that the person administering it was a medical professional rather than a beautician.

BabyBlue777 · 03/01/2024 19:01

I had it twice and had zero results. Honestly, a waste of my money.
