Wool look vests worn with tops under?

I like this preppie look but my bust is a 38G so would a v neck work? How would you style this look please? Any links would be great!

I am a G - v necked vests are my favourite winter look …I wear over dresses. I am quite short so the dress underneath is better than top/ bottom separates. It is my favourite winter look!

When this look was fashionable the last time, probably over 40 years ago 🙈 I used to wear my Dads ones! Perhaps check out the mens departments xxxx

Is the wool v neck the same as a tank top ?

The only way I’ve ever worn this was jigsaw navy and bottle green vests with a TM Lewin pale green striped and white blouse and a cream/ivory Karen Millen blouse. Both with suits. Was about 15 years ago. I was approx 28FF bust then but it worked.

I love this look but have a tummy so want them to finish above the bulge. I've looked at men's ones in charity shops but they tend to be longer and too narrow.

Is vest here a tank top or a waistcoat (as in American English)?

A sleeveless wool tank top/sweater vest. They’re also currently being called “slipovers” when worn by women. I’m very booby (34h) and so was a bit wary, but quite like the look with a v neck.
