Boots like these but waterproof?

I impulse bought these boots in the Penelope Chilvers Black Friday sale when they were 50% off. I really like them- have been looking for some warm boots I can wear with leggings- but it would probably be more sensible for me to return them and instead get some that are actually waterproof, given that I do want to get some wear out of them and not just on the cold sunny bluebird days.

Has anyone got or seen something in a similar style (not necessarily that colour) but more waterproof/ weatherproof?

Waterproofing / rain proof spray from Clarks would be my first shout. Spray all over, no damage and protected boot

I do actually have some spray like that, but didn’t think it was good enough to actually properly protect from rain- does it??
