Lightweight jumpers do they exist?

I'm after some light weight jumpers for the winter, just plain, but decent quality. Budget £80-£100 each.

Any ideas where to look?

Thanks

Would you think about cashmere with that budget? It's light and cosy at the same time

itsnotmeitsu · 04/12/2023 17:52

I was going to mention cashmere. It provides warmth in the colder months but can also be worn in warmer weather. OP > Have you tried 'Woolovers'?; I may be wrong but I think they do cashmere.

Cashmere

rainpleasestop · 05/12/2023 13:46

Uniqlo's Extra Fine Merino Wool jumpers (come in crew neck, V-neck, turtleneck, ribbed or plain, and cardigans) are lightweight but warm. They wash well by hand and keep their shape well. Have not machine washed mine. I have several and live in them during the winter.

They are only £29:90.

I was coming on to recommend these too. I have loads. You do need to be a bit careful washing them, some of the ones I have shrink a bit. But then, you'd have to wash cashmere carefully too

Merino, ad others have said, I also have the Uniqlo ones! I am currently wearing a Cotton Merino mix from White Co. Really soft and light, but warm.

Too many colours to choose from! Do they have physical shops?

I wash mine by hand then safety pin them in an old pillowcase and spin them on the wool cycle spin. I've not been brave enough to wash them on the wool cycle. I dry them on a hanger. Not had noticeable shrinkage yet but the one I've worn the most has fluffed a little on the front after three winter's wear - but I have worn it a lot and being charcoal grey, it barely shows, though a lighter colour might. The black turtleneck I have hasn't fluffed at all. Overall, I think they are good value.

M & S do similar in Merino wool but I haven't tried them. They are £35:
