Microblading - what the truth?!

I'm very close to getting my brows microbladed but I'm scared of them going pink or being stuck with them forever!

What's the chance of them going pink or spreading or just ruining my face for life!

For info- I'm a pretty boring 43 year old, size 16-18, likes mince pies.

I've had mine done but sadly my skin doesn't retain pigment very well. I did a lot of research and went to someone whose portfolio I liked the look of. Certainly not the cheapest but that was fine by me. She was very professional, lots of measuring my facial proportions etc and asked me several times whether I was happy with the intended look.

Going pink? You mean when they fade?
brow tattoos will fade eventually and they will leave some colour behind, they never disappear completely. Warm brown will fade to pink. Once you've had them done you'll probably want to keep them up as 'done' brows look great! I don't know about spreading - why would they? Tattoos can 'blow out' when the artist goes too deep but cosmetic tattoos on your face are deliberately not done as deeply as other tattoos so that seems really unlikely.

I had them done this year and I’m over the moon. I have eyebrows but they’re blonde. I had mine done and now even if I don’t tint the blond I still have visible brows.

they were a bit itchy as they healed. The eyebrow lady drew them on first so I was happy with them and took pictures. That took longer than the actual tattooing. They’ve not spread or gone pink, although they have faded a bit.

do it.

i also like mince pies.

Mine were done 18 months ago and are one of the best decisions I ever made. I over plucked in the 90’s and they had never recovered. They now look great every day and I don’t have to touch them. They frame my face. I did do a lot of research and made sure I used the best aesthetician I possibly could. I’ve never heard of them going pink or spreading…

I was told to expect to need top ups in the future.

I had mine done 2.5 years ago and didn’t get them topped up as I was pregnant. They definitely need redoing now as they have faded (with a slight pink tinge) and spread very slightly but it’s nowhere near bad enough to not have them done again! I loved them then and I still really like them now even though they’re faded.

I first had mine done four years ago and they are amazing. I’ve had them touched up once but she said at the time they didn’t really need it, i just wanted to go ever so slightly thicker.

I probably won’t get them touched you again for years, and they would resolve any pink issues but they’re not even close to that so it’s not a concern.

She did a slightly different arch on mine to my natural one and it make it look like I’ve had a face lift

Can you put a photo up? I would be interested to see what they are like

I've seen loads of people with pink eyebrows over the years to such a degree with a certain ethnic background that I thought it was deliberate 😬 then microblading caught on here and I understood it was faded pigment. not sure I'd risk it

Those blocky pink eyebrows are usually from shaded brows rather than micro blading, where the tattooist just draws the eyebrows on in block colour.

Spreading is probably the wrong term but in some people the defined hair strokes som time bleed and lose definition.

I wonder what the risk of pink is.

I understand that they can be topped up and no problem if they fade but still look ok- I just doent want something that needs covering up to stop it looking terrible.

Just my experience, I thought it was a waste of money, I did ask for a very natural look with a lighter pigment, I'm dark blonde, it only lasted a few weeks, but I'm not brave enough to go for very dark or powdering. Any pink faded after a few days and I didn't go out of my natural brow shape, I just wanted more definition.
